Don has a Bachelor Business Studies (BBS) degree which he achieved at the University of Limerick, Ireland. He has various Business Management diplomas ranging from marketing to project management. Don was the Chairman of South African Tuna Longline Association (SATLA) from 2004 to 2015, and is the President of Tuna South Africa (Pty) Ltd from 2007 to date. Don has been Combined Fishing Enterprise’s managing director since 1996 and is a director on the boards of various companies. Contributing his extensive knowledge and understanding of the industry fills up the remainder of his busy schedule. He has been the executive committee member of various fishing associations over the years, including hake longline, deep sea trawl and large pelagic.
